Setting off on a journey

As we begin our 10th year as a collective impact, systems-change effort, we are in an important moment to come together and deeply understand what we are seeing and experiencing across our systems, and how we might create a more healthy and aligned system that enables our youngest keiki, their `ohana, and the providers that support them, to flourish.

By understanding how our systems currently work- seeing what enables or inhibits us, uncovering patterns, and recognizing how connected we all are- we can leverage the wisdom, asset, and energy that already exists here in Hawai`i to unlock the change we have been longing for.

This event started us on a journey and we invite everyone to travel along with us.

Ways we imagine using this work

  • To foster curiosity and deeper learning

  • To help us get creative- put things together in new ways- maybe a new look at how we are organized

  • To allow us to see patterns, energy, readiness, and use them to guide our priorities

  • To take a closer look at areas where progress has been slow, or stuck, and learn from what is happening there and what we might do to remove barriers

  • To provide something we can harken back to, to hold us accountable, to help us navigate during moments when we feel lost

  • To show us how we are connected, and ways we can connect better; decrease the fragmentation across the work
