Open Position: Early Childhood Continuums (ECC) Lead


The community-based Early Childhood Continuums (ECC) Initiative, referred to as Healthy, Safe and Thriving, is a community-centered collaboration working to ensure every keiki in Hawai`i is thriving and ready for success upon entering kindergarten. ECC communities bring together a network of health, family support, child care and early learning partners to create intentional pathways of services and supports for keiki and their ʻohana, and to test and develop solutions and take action to create lasting change and amplify positive impacts.


Position Summary

The Early Childhood Continuums (ECC) Lead is a time-limited, grant-funded position responsible for the programmatic administration and implementation of grants supporting ECC growth and expansion across select communities in Hawaiʻi. The ECC Lead is responsible for co-developing and leading the statewide coordination of the ECC initiative, supporting communities to create a shared vision for keiki 0-5 years old, coordinating stakeholders and facilitating supports to meet specific needs of communities participating in the initiative. The ECC Lead will also have responsibility, in close partnership with ECAS leadership and accounting/ administrative staff, for coordinating procurement, contracting, sub-awards, grant documentation, and compliance monitoring in adherence to federal grant funding requirements.

Job Specifications

  • Job Type: Full-time, exempt; hybrid (remote and in-person, as needed)

  • Job Location: Flexible; Early Childhood Action Strategy (ECAS) is Oʻahu-based with offices in downtown Honolulu

  • Reporting Structure: This position reports to the ECAS Executive Director

  • Hiring Salary Range: low to mid $90K’s
