Each core team is collaborating on efforts around a shared focus area and brings together subject matter experts and practitioners from public and private sectors. Teams are co-convened by government and non-government partners.
Each team identifies goals, objectives, strategies and implementation partners in their Early Childhood focus area to address gaps in the system of care for young children.
The six focus areas were identified through the Executive Office on Early Learning’s 2012 strategic planning process. Early Childhood Action Strategy (ECAS) is modeled after Lisbeth Schorr’s Pathways to Third Grade Success framework, housed at the Center for the Study of Social Policy (CSSP).
